USMLE Step 3 Experiences
USMLE Step 3 is a two day exam which consists of:
- Step 3 Foundations of Independent Practice (FIP) : This is a 7 hour test day which includes an optional 5 min tutorial, 45 mins of break time and 6 blocks of 1 hour each in the test day. 233 questions are tested in this day.
- Step 3 Advanced Clinical Medicine (ACM): This is a 9 hour test day which includes a 5 minutes optional tutorial, 6 blocks of 45 minutes each and a total of 180 multiple choice questions. This day also includes 13 case simulations, each of 10-20 minutes. There is also a 45 mins break for the CCS component.
